When Dylan and Lucia are napping, it's usually quiet time for me and Jack as well. Instead of watching TV, we have started coloring together. Let’s Color Together: A Shareable Coloring Book for Parents and Kids features two versions of the same design – one is typically more detailed and intricate than the other – that are laid out so parents and kids can color face-to-face.
Although Jack will often ask me to help him with his side, this book is a great way to spend some fun quality time together. It's also been a great teaching tool -- we've been practicing shapes and learning to spell colors.
Nice idea! It's much better then watching TV. Coloring was one my favorite entertainment when I was a kid.
