Day in the Life

It's been years since I've done a "Day in the Life" post so today - along with some other fabulous bloggers - I'm sharing what our typical day looks like.

7:30/8am - The boys have breakfast and I get Jack's preschool lunchbox ready. On this morning both boys had scrambled eggs and fruit.

8:30/9am - While I get ready, Jack and Dylan play in my room. Today, Brad is dropping Jack at preschool before meeting me at the pediatrician's office for Dylan's 9 month appointment.

9:30am - Dylan 9 month stats: 21lbs 11oz, 30 3/4in. 80% for weight, 99% for height. Look at those long legs. We sure do grow 'em big!

10:30am - Quick trip to Target to pickup some prescriptions. I went straight to the pharmacy and did NOT buy anything else. Disclaimer - I got my Target fix earlier that week. #babywearingdadsarehot

11am-12:00pm - Dylan went down for his morning nap a little late and did not sleep nearly enough - he was not happy! Time for this little dude to have some lunch.

1:30pm- Jack's has become my little helper and he truly helps me a lot.  He likes to push Dylan's stroller when we go pick him up at preschool.

2:30pm - Both boys are napping and I have a chance to sit down, reply to emails and catch up on some blogging for Hello Jack and Layers of Meaning

4/4:30pm - The boys are up from their naps and it's playtime. The weather has been yuck lately so we can't go outside to play today.

6/6:30pm - It's time for my littlest to go to bed. Cuddling with mama while Jack watches Curious George on the iPad.

7/7:30pm - After Dylan goes to bed, Jack has a bath and we head downstairs for dinner. Homemade mac and cheese, hotdogs and cuties tonight. After dinner, it's story time, prayers and lights out at 8pm.

9:30/10:30pm - Me time. Catching up on some magazine and blog reading before Brad gets home from work. Usually my bedtime is about 11:30 or midnight.

And there you have it friends, a look into my day!

  1. That is great that your older kiddo likes to help out! That is sweet. I always wonder what the "best" age is to have kids apart. Looks like a pretty successful day if you ask me!
Thank you for hosting the link up!

    1. He is so much help. Jack as 3.5 when Dylan was born last year. He's my little helper, he loves the extra responsibilities. I'm not sure how long this will last so I will enjoy it while I can.

  2. I will always love the wallpaper you have in your nursery. so much. And I can't believe how long Dylan's legs look in that picture!

    1. I love it too! I don't ever want to move and have to leave it :(

  3. I can't believe how tall Dylan is! And I absolutely love the photo of Jack pushing the stroller!
