5 Tips to dressing up as a walking dead character

Whether it is Halloween, time to go to a Walking Dead Convention, or you just want to get into costume when watching the show, there are many great characters to choose from if you want to dress up. You can either go casual and wear a Walking Dead t-shirt that shows your support for the show, or you can take it a step further and wear clothing, makeup, a wig, and shoes that give you the complete look. No matter what your budget is, there are creative ways to dress up. This article will provide some great tips to get the look you are going for!

1.Consider your budget. Before you set out to purchase items for your costume, be sure to have a clear idea of how much money you can spend on your outfit. If you have a limited budget, you may want to get creative and borrow clothes from a family member or perhaps even shop at a local thrift store.

2.Visit a thrift store. When visiting a local thrift store for your walking dead character costume components, you may find that it is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Depending on the type of character you want to dress up as, you may have to purchase an item and then work with it to make it just right. This could mean cutting up the sleeves or adding some fake blood or dirt to it to give it the right effect. You can’t go wrong at the thrift store as you won’t be spending a lot of money there as everything is relatively inexpensive.

3.Shop online! One of the best ways to find items for your perfect Walking Dead ensemble is to look online. You will be amazed at what you can find. Even if you are on a meager budget, you can likely find some great bargains in a local thrift shopping, leaving you with extra funds to spend on other essential items such as a wig or walking dead shoes on Tee Amazing. These shoes are perfect if you plan to walk a lot, perhaps during Halloween or at an amusement park.

4.Wear makeup. To really dress up in to character, you may consider investing in makeup. Wearing makeup will make you look great and it will help accentuate the components of your costume. If you need to and you have money left in your budget, consider adding a wig, weapons, or other accessories to go along with your character.

5.Accessorize. As with any costume, adding accessories can really make it fun! Does your character have any special quirks that you can play off of? Do they carry a weapon or any other prop with them throughout the series? If so, be on the lookout for some items that can replicate the props that your favorite character uses in the show so that you can add to make your costume that much more realistic.
