I will scour the Internet for the best deals and discounts for anything from chairs and tables to shoes and accessories but there's one thing that I will always splurge on - makeup. You can call me a makeup snob it you want, I won't get offended. Don't get me wrong, I always look for brands that offer free samples, discounts or special promotions but I tend to shop in department or specialized stores (e.g., Sephora) only.
While it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to spend a ton of money to look good or that grocery store brands are not good - hello, iconic Great Lashes mascara from Maybelline is less than $5 - I find that the quality of some "high end" brands is superior. Sometimes paying a little bit more really pays off.
