Real Inspiration: Real Nursery

Nuestra Vida Dulce is one of my all time favorite blogs so needless to say, having new momma Joi share baby Theron's nursery with us is an absolute honor. Joi's impeccable taste is reflected in her gorgeous home - she was recently featured on  The Nate Barkus Show - and now her talents can be seen in her son's bright and modern nursery. If you haven't visited Joi's blog yet, make sure you stop by today!

You'll be happy to know that Joi is sharing her [extensive] source list with everyone!

When David and I found out I was pregnant I immediately started dreaming up the nursery plans. Our style is very eclectic, bold, and is based on thrifted and budget finds. I knew I wanted the room to be whimsical and fun. I didn't want it to be a typical boy room or have a theme. While in Chicago during the summer I found a ferris wheel and I knew I wanted to use that as inspiration for the whole room. I used Pinterest, OhDeeDoh, and baby blogs to help me get an idea for what I liked. I actually made a mood board for the nursery in PowerPoint and the room turned out pretty close to my original vision. David and I hope our baby boy, Theron Drake, loves it as much as we do.
