Valentine's Day Heart Stamp

Remember the simple Valentine's Day stamp project I posted about last week? Jack and I attempted our own version yesterday.

Materials
Empty toilet paper roll - taped in the shape of a heart
Martha Stewart Red waterbase paint - for easy clean up
White envelopes
To avoid any unnecessary messes, I put an old sheet that my husband uses to paint on our bathroom floor and left Jack with just a diaper on. I placed my hand over his and made a few hearts and then just let him continue alone. Check out our results below...

The first envelope was a success! After that, he decided he wanted to paint his legs and face instead of the envelopes. We were able to do 4 envelopes before he was ready to attack me with our homemade stamp maker.

It was our first attempt at any sort of craft projects and for a 1 year old, I think he did great! We will be mailing these envelopes with some of  these cute Valentine's Day cards I created on Minted.com.

Are you working on any Valentine's Day DIY crafts with your little ones this year? I would love to hear what all the other parents have planned!
